Creating Positive Change

In April, two 15-year-old girls began their artisan training process as beauticians at the Renacer Institute. Their training will last one year and will be recognized by the National Artisan Board.

Five girls have already earned their certificate for participating in the International Beauty Seminar, a personal achievement for the girls, which motivated them to continue training in this field.

The girls attend classes on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where they work on skills such as manicures, pedicures, haircuts & styles, makeup, and cosmetology overall.

For Maria, it is a blessing to be able to attend these courses. She wants to put her skills into practice and strengthen the family economy. Her dream has been to learn how to apply makeup, and she hopes to achieve it during this year of academic training. This skillset will help her finance her professional career as she wishes to become a psychologist or early childhood educator.

While the girls are given a 50% student scholarship, it is necessary to find other ways to help finance their training process.
